  • August 14, 2007
Disney Consumer Products introduced an electronics line targeting tweens on Monday, set to launch in the fall. The line includes Disney Flix Video Cam, iPod-compatible speakers and the debut of Disney LCD TVs.

Products were inspired by Disney classics such as "Disney Princess," "Pirates of the Caribbean," and Disney Channel's "Hannah Montana," and "High School Musical." The fall line that retails for between $100 and $300 will sell through Wal-Mart, ToysRUs, Best Buy and DisneyShopping.com.

Disney designed the Disney Flix Video Cam as a compact handheld video camera with real-world features and functions that comes bundled with Disney Director software that lets kids shoot and star in their own Disney movie. Software includes storyboards, sound effects, film footage, music and character voices from popular Disney films and TV shows.

The Disney iPod-compatible speakers are Made-for-iPod compliant and use Apple's 30-pin connector, ideal for Apple iPod's or Disney Mix personal media player owners. The 15-inch Disney LCD digital TVs feature a Sharp LCD panels. Designs include High School Musical, Hannah Montana, Disney Princess and Pirates of the Caribbean.
