GSN Honors Griffin With TV Marathon

The former Game Show Network, now known as GSN, will offer 10 hours of special tribute programming to Merv Griffin this weekend. The legendary game show impresario passed away Sunday at age 82.

The programming will come in five-hour blocks each on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, the network will offer "Wheel of Fortune" episodes that include an appearance by prolific game-show host Chuck Woolery and Vanna White's first show 25 years ago.

On Sunday, the network will run classic "Jeopardy" episodes, including a $1 million "champions tournament."

Griffin wrote the well-known theme song.

In fact, he created both series. He is also credited with launching the careers of Woolery, White, Pat Sajak and Ryan Seacrest with "Click." Late Sunday night, GSN will air episodes of series Griffin hosted himself.
