User-Generated Spots To Air On Travel Channel

The Travel Channel will air a collection of user-generated commercials for Vegas.com during Vegas Weekend, Aug. 25 and 26. Of the nearly 50 spots VEGAS.com will run during the weekend, approximately half were submissions received during the "Direct the Next VEGAS.Commercial Contest."

Vegas.com conducted a contest in collaboration with the 2007 CineVegas Film Festival held in January to attract entries from amateur or working moviemakers. Five of the more than 100 entries will air on the Travel Channel throughout Vegas Weekend, including the winning spot by Brian Lazzaro. Vegas.com also will air commercials from the "Do Vegas Right" campaign.

Partnering with the CineVegas Film Festival gave Vegas.com a chance to find talented moviemakers that otherwise would have been lost in the crowd. Vegas.com will work with Lazzaro to begin developing its next multimillion-dollar TV campaign later this year.
