The initial aspect of the season's campaign features top players New Orleans' Reggie Bush and Cincinnati's Chad Johnson, as well as the "MNF" announcing crew. Ron Jaworski replaces Joe Theismann this season (Mike Tirico and Tony Kornheiser return), offering versions of the jingle that dates back to ABC's coverage of the prime-time game. (It's officially called the "Heavy Action" theme.)
The 30-second spot carries the "Still On My Mind" title and maintains the "green hued" backdrop ESPN used in the "Is it Monday yet?" effort a year ago. Tirico hums the tune at his desk, Jaworski and Kornheiser while breaking down tape, Bush as he lifts weights and Johnson while running a practice pattern.
In its second season with "MNF," ESPN will carry 17 games, including opening the season Sept. 10 with a doubleheader.
