ClickFacts Helps Ad Networks Monitor Publishers

  • August 27, 2007
Two-year-old ClickFacts has launched its Advertising Networks Verification Suite, a set of tools that allows an ad network to continuously monitor participating publishers--and remove them from the network--for running prohibited content, engaging in click fraud, forcefully installing spyware on visitors' machines, and other "rogue" activities.

"As advertisers feel more comfortable with what they are buying, they will increase their online spend," said Michael Caruso, CEO of ClickFacts. "By weeding out the questionable content and rogue publishers, advertisers' ROI will inevitably increase."

ClickFacts has previously offered a similar tool for Ad Syndication.

Specifically, ClickFacts said, the new Verification Suite:

screens for pornography, violence, racial intolerance and clear violations of intellectual property;

verifies that publishers are providing real, valuable content to their visitors;

audits and ensures that publishers are not engaging in committing click fraud for financial gain;

verifies that publishers are not installing adware or spyware from their sites on visitor machines.
