Sony is slowly unveiling its version of a DVR. It's introducing PlayTV, an add-on to the PlayStation 3 video game console that will allow players to watch--and record--digital television. For now,
PlayTV will only roll out in several European countries--including the U.K.--in early 2008. Play TV, a device that hooks between the PS3 and television, allows the console to record one channel while
the viewer watches another. Play TV also supports HD video and lets users stream live or recorded video from the PS3 directly to a PSP via remote play, effectively allowing you to watch your
television shows on the handheld from anywhere in the world.
