Clabiorne Says Adios To Bromley, Heads To D.C.

Leading Hispanic agency Bromley Communications thought it had staged a coup by bringing Mediacom's Alejandro Clabiorne aboard in a newly created position. But at the 11th hour, Clabiorne opted not to join the agency in his home state of Texas in favor of a position in Washington.

As vice president/group media director, Clabiorne headed Mediacom's multicultural marketing efforts. An agency representative said he has not been replaced yet.

Clabiorne had been appointed integrated touchpoint director at the San Antonio-based Bromley. In his new role, he was to serve as a strategist who would help foster creative media concepts throughout the Publicis Groupe agency--a post the agency said would allow it "to respond to the ever-evolving industry which demands a more cross-functional, holistic approach."

The name of Clabiorne's new company could not be determined. The executive could not be reached for comment.

Bromley COO Jessica Pantanini said she was "disappointed" he elected not to join.

Dallas native Clabiorne has also worked at Universal McCann and started his career at Starcom.
