Laugh Track: XM Radio Debuts New Comedy Series

XM is expanding its comedy routine.

On Sept. 22, the satellite radio company launches "Unmasked," a new comedy series that features established and up-and-coming comics in one-on-one interviews. Comic George Carlin will be its debut guest. The XM show will also be included in the DVD "George Carlin: All My Stuff," scheduled for a Sept. 25 release.

Much like in stand-up performances, "Unmasked" is recorded before a live studio audience.

"We at XM are thrilled that George Carlin, celebrating his 50th year in comedy, will be the first guest as we launch this new thought-provoking show that offers an inside look into some of today's most compelling comedic minds," said Eric Logan, executive vice president, programming for XM.

Future "Unmasked" episodes will include comedians Jeff Garlin from "Curb Your Enthusiasm," Jim Norton, Patrice Oneal, Bob Saget, Brian Regan and Carlos Mencia, among others.

"Unmasked" joins the rest of XM's comedy lineup. There are five dedicated comedy channels: "XM Comedy," "Laugh USA," "Laugh Attack," "National Lampoon Comedy Radio" and "High Voltage."
