Ford's Poore To Take Marketing Help At Nissan

Ben Poore, a Ford marketing executive, will become VP/marketing communications at Nissan North America now that Jan Thompson, VP/marketing for Nissan North America, has resigned the position. Poore will be based at the company's headquarters in Nashville, Tenn.

At Ford, Poore has held a number of marketing and sales positions in the U.S. and Latin America. Most recently, he was group marketing manager, Lincoln/Mercury Division, and truck group marketing manager, Ford Division.

Thompson had been with Nissan since 2004, having jumped the fence from the agency to client side. She had been president/CEO for five years of L.A.-based The Designory, an Omnicom marketing agency. Before that, Thompson had held positions at Chrysler, Toyota's Lexus division and Mazda, where she was VP/marketing.
