Teens and college students are expected to spend $634 per person this holiday season, up 10% from last year.

Among those 16 to 24, reports Youth Trends, clothing will be the top gift choice (78%), followed by gift cards (64%), technology and communications-related devices (41%), video game systems and video games (36%), DVDs (31%) and dorm and/or residence furnishings and accessories (24%). Those polled say they plan to spend $266 on gifts for family members, $210 on gifts for friends and significant others, and the remaining $158 will be spent on gifts for themselves.
