USA Today is cutting 45 jobs in the newsroom, hitting news, money, sports and lifestyle sections. That's an almost 9% hit to the staff of 500. Ironically, the newspaper's revenues have slipped,
but its circulation continues to grow. The national newspaper is owned by Gannett.
