Arbitron Inc. today announced that Clear Channel Worldwide debuted as the second most listened to webcast network in Arbitron’s February Webcast Ratings with 3,483,700 aggregate tuning hours (ATH), the sum total of all hours that listeners tune to a given channel or combination of channels.

For the sixth consecutive month, Live365 maintained its number one spot in the February Arbitron network ratings with 6,148,800 ATH. ChainCast Networks/StreamAudio ranked number three with 2,073,800 ATH. Webcast networks are defined as radio station owners that stream their content online or companies that aggregate online audio programming. Webcast networks are ranked according to their total monthly ATH.

February Channel Ratings

United Kingdom-based Jazz FM UK joined Arbitron’s February Webcast Ratings and ranked number two with 826,200 ATH. Virgin UK remained the top ranked channel with 893,500 ATH. Classical Station KING-FM ranked third with 535,500 ATH. Clear Channel Worldwide placed 19 of its properties within Arbitron’s top 75 channels in February.

The rankings included in the February 2002 Arbitron Webcast Ratings are based on those stations and channels that have provided Arbitron with access to their server data. The ratings may not reflect all tuning for the measured stations or channels, since Arbitron may have received incomplete or unusable server data.

Arbitron Webcast Ratings is a server-side measurement, which captures tuning to participating streamed media channels by compiling a near census of Internet tuning sessions.
