The yearly "truck of the year" and "car of the year" lists have been narrowed. The international panel of auto scribes that mulls the year's best wheels and announces results at the North American
International Auto Show in Detroit January gave the nod to Cadillac's CTS, the Chevrolet Malibu and the Honda Accord for the 2008 North American Car of the Year category.
The Buick Enclave,
the Mazda CX-9 and Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid are finalists for the 2008 North American Truck of the Year.
The awards, given by 46 automotive journalists from the United States and Canada, are based
on factors that include innovation, design, safety, handling, driver satisfaction and value for the dollar.
