Championship Gaming Series (CGS) has finalized appointments to its executive team, naming Geoff Stevens to the position of COO and Jason Katz as vice president of global marketing, among others.

The Los Angeles-based company sponsors and promotes competitive video gaming teams from around the world via live events and syndicated video on the Web and satellite TV. New COO Stevens most recently served as vice president of product management for mobile entertainment provider InfoSpace, while Katz comes from Tribal DDB, where he served as director of gaming.

In addition, CGS appointed Michael Burks as executive producer, Kieve Huffman as senior vice president of business development and sales, Michael Widman as general counsel, and Scott Valencia as senior vice president of operations.
