Google Thursday outlined a major philanthropic funding initiative, committing to spent up to $175 million over the next three years, as part of a first round of grants and investments via its
Google.org philanthropy. More than $25 million already has been earmarked for groups focused on environmental, energy-related, poverty and health related issues.
