Cuts Expected At Yahoo, Hundreds To Be Let Go

Yahoo, the Internet portal giant largest player in the online display advertising industry, is poised to lay off hundreds of employees as part of a restructuring of its operations to bring costs in line with a sudden fiscal crunch. Details of the downsizing, including how many of Yahoo's estimated 14,000 workforce would be impacted, have not been disclosed, but several publications speculated it could be announced next week as part of Yahoo's fourth quarter earnings call.
