Baidu snagged 60% of the search market in China in the fourth quarter of 2007--retaining its position as leader of the pack, according to a report from research firm Analysys International. Google and
Yahoo China both trailed far behind in second and third place, with shares of roughly 26% and 7%, respectively.
While Beijing-based Baidu's fourth-quarter marketing share remained
relatively unchanged from the previous quarter, Google gained 2.2% from third quarter 2007, and recently launched a mobile search deal with China Mobile, one of the country's largest mobile service
providers.
