The tool delivers an automated assessment of a Web site, complete with inbound link info, social bookmarking data, Google PageRank and Alexa traffic data, as well as a grade on a 100-point scale. TechCrunch snagged a 99, but the tool did find that the site used too many images and not enough meta data.
Schonfeld also used the Website Grader to do some competitive analysis, finding that while WSJ.com and NYTimes.com both also scored 99 overall, the Times came out on top in terms of PageRank, inbound links and traffic. And he notes that while the tool is free, it's also a lead generation angle for HubSpot, so it's likely that you'll be contacted by a company rep offering upgraded services at some point.
