CNET Networks, parent company of online properties like CNET, GameSpot and TV.com announced that Zander Lurie will be promoted to CFO, effective March 7.

Lurie is moving up from his position as senior vice president of strategy and development to replace resigning CFO George E. Mazzotta.

In his new role, Lurie will oversee finance, investor relations, planning, and corporate development. Prior to joining CNET Networks in 2006, Lurie was a vice president of investment banking at JPMorgan in New York and San Francisco, where he led the firm's equity and M&A efforts in the Internet sector.

"Zander's industry knowledge, business background and strategic planning experience complement the deep expertise of our existing finance team," said Neil Ashe, CNET's CEO. "Zander will continue to execute against our business strategy as well as maintain our financial and fiscal discipline."
