Web software provider Clickability has closed second-round venture financing of $8 million led by Shasta Ventures and including Convergence Partners.

The funding brings the company's total funding to date to $15.6 million. In connection with the financing, Shasta Ventures Managing Director Ravi Mohan will join Clickability's board of directors.

The company's software-as-service platform lets customers create and manage commercial Web sites. Its clients include Cantor Fitzgerald, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and CNN. Clickability plans to use the funding to expand sales and marketing and software development efforts. It will formally launch its new Web-building platform on Monday with Smithsonian Media.
