Buckley Named VP National Ad Sales At Weather Channel Interactive

The Weather Channel Interactive (TWCI) announced that Sheila Buckley has been promoted to vice president of national ad sales for TWCI. Buckley will lead the team of sales and sales support professionals responsible for weather.com, The Weather Channel Desktop, forGetaway.com and Forecast Earth Online.

Buckley joined TWCI in 2005 as vice president of sales from Time Inc., where she held a variety of sales roles of increasing responsibility. This included publisher duties for Sports Illustrated for Kids and associate publisher for Sports Illustrated where she was responsible for advertising sales, sales development, and research for the magazine, web site and custom publishing.

Previously, she was the vice president/marketing and business development at Media Network Inc. (MNI), a division of Time Inc. Before moving to MNI, Buckley was a director at Money Magazine, and Your Company Magazine and worked as a representative for the 1989 launch of Entertainment Weekly. Her Time Inc. career began in Money ad sales in 1986.
