Verizon Wireless has launched its mobile producer-in-residence program with Hip-Hop mix master Timbaland leading the way.

The producer, who has collaborated with music acts including Jay-Z, Missy Elliott and Justin Timberlake, will start work on an album next month to be exclusively offered through Verizon's V Cast data service.

Each month Timbaland will team up with a different artist to cut a new track in the Verizon Mobile Recording Studio Bus. The bus will tour various cities to give fans a glimpse of the recording process. The wireless giant also plans to broadcast footage of the sessions on its V Cast Video and Verizon Surround platforms.
