Burst Media Launches Early Adopters Ad Network

Burst Media has launched a vertical ad network geared toward early adopters. The network has a reach of more than 23 million users (comScore Media Metrix, January 2008) on more than 200 Web sites.

This custom network from Burlington, Mass.-based Burst makes it easy for brand advertisers to target the influential "technophile" and "gadget-geek" demographic across a hand-picked set of high-impact, high-quality Web sites. In addition, numerous sites within the Burst Early Adopters Network have been pre-qualified to run custom advertising creative and rich media ad units including expandables, in-banner video, and interstitials as well as custom sponsorships.

A Burst Media survey of visitors to sites within the Burst Early Adopters Network found that four out of five are first among family and friends to purchase new consumer technology products, and a similar number act as influencers in the adoption of new technology. The Burst survey also found that three-quarters of visitors to the Burst Early Adopters Network say the Internet is the best place to learn about new consumer technology products.
