CollegeHumor Grows Up, Gets New Joost Channel

IAC's CollegeHumor.com has joined the roster of content providers on Internet video site Joost. It is launching its own channel--"CHTV: CollegeHumor Original Videos"--on the ad-supported outlet.

CollegeHumor produces original programming targeting the university-aged set. Videos will be made available on Joost through the new channel. Initial programming includes "Street Fighter: The Later Years," "The Michael Showalter Showalter," "Prank War" and "Hardly Working."

Ricky Van Veen, the editor in chief of CollegeHumor, said the deal "gives us an opportunity to introduce our original videos to a new, savvy audience."

CollegeHumor.com, a part of the Barry Diller-run IAC, dates to 1999, when it launched as "an online depository for all of the content that floats around collegiate computer networks." Its advertisers include Ford, P&G and Universal Pictures.

Creative Artists Agency works with Joost to sign deals with content providers.

CollegeHumor.com was founded in a dorm room in 1999.
