Washingtonpost.com Partners With Kiplinger's To Boost Personal Finance Coverage

Washingtonpost.com has entered into a content partnership with Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine and Kiplinger.com in its latest effort to boost the Post's personal finance coverage online.

Under the deal, Kiplinger will provide washingtonpost.com with content spanning financial advice on money management, financial security, investing and retirement planning, as well as access to its business and finance-related videos.

The Kiplinger partnership builds on other recent steps to expand washingtonpost.com's personal finance section. These include a new "Market Buzz" column written by Post Business Editor Steven Levingston, offering investment insights from Wall Street.

A new "Ask the Experts" column features financial advisors answering readers' investment questions, while Post economics reporter Neil Irwin previews key market data to be released the following week. Washingtonpost.com also features columns by personal finance experts Michelle Singletary and Jane Bryant Quinn.

"We are expanding our personal finance section to present readers with the news and tools to help make informed decisions about how they manage their money," said Russ Walker, assistant managing editor at washingtonpost.com, in a prepared statement.

Personal finance sections--both in print and online--have also long been seen as attractive to advertisers because of their link to investing and buying decisions.
