Glam Media Hires Schulte Away From Rival iVillage

Glam Media has hired Matthew Schulte as vice president of sales for the East Coast region. Schulte was previously head of sales for Glam rival

Prior to joining iVillage, he held sales positions at and Excite@Home. Schulte also has a background in media planning at McCann-Erickson and Ogilvy & Mather.

Ad network Glam recently cut certain guaranteed payments to publisher partners when it stopped running "house ads" served for unsold inventory throughout its network. The ads were believed to have generated significant incremental revenue for publishers, and at significant cost to Glam.

As of February, Glam was the most-trafficked women's site with 29.1 million unique visitors, followed by iVillage, with 16.2 million.
