German airline Lufthansa on Tuesday signed a contract with the Boeing Co. to be the first airline in the world to offer broadband Internet services on all its long-haul flights. Starting at the
beginning of 2004, all 80 of Lufthansa's long-haul jets, including the Boeing 747-400 and the Airbus A340 and A330, will be fitted with the connection by Boeing. The agreement comes after a highly
successful trial period for the new service on select flights between January to April.
