NBC News said longtime television news producer Jeff Gralnick is returning to NBC as the executive in charge of The News with Brian Williams. Gralnick had been executive producer of the NBC Nightly
News with Tom Brokaw from 1993 to 1996. Gralnick will have oversight of the broadcast on CNBC while Patrick Burkey will be responsible for the daily production of the hourlong newscast with airs at 7
and 10 p.m. Gralnick has also worked at CBS, ABC as vice president of news, and became EVP of CNN Financial News until 2001. He began E-splosion Consulting, an Internet and broadcasting strategy
company whose client roster includes CNBC, CBS News, Fox Spots and LiveWave.
