Just in time for Independence Day, Jose Cuervo, one of the world's best selling Tequilas, has launched the "Face of the Nation" contest on CuervoNation.com. The online promotion, created by DraftDigital New York, gives consumers the opportunity to put "a face on their independent spirit" for a chance to win a trip for two to the Island of CuervoNation, located in the Caribbean. The online promotion, which has drawn more than 600,000 visitors to the CuervoNation.com site to date, is the first part of Jose Cuervo's CuervoNation new Celebrations promotion. Designed by DraftDigital, the interactive arm of Draft New York dedicated to creating brand-building results, the "Face of the Nation" promotion utilizes a unique new technology that allows consumers to upload any photo and literally bring it to life by animating it and making it speak. Contest entrants upload a photo and type an answer to the question "How are you an independent spirit?" The typed response is then processed and animated into the photo. Maria Mandel, VP and director of interactive marketing at DraftDigital, said the new promotion allows consumers to "declare their independent spirit by generating their own unique speaking images and sending them via email to friends through CuervoNation.com.
