The Vendare Group announced this week an all-cash transaction to acquire Vivendi-Universal's Flipside, Inc. Flipside, the online games division of VUNet USA, maintains a network of online game
destinations including Uproar, Virtual Vegas and iWin. As part of the agreement, The Vendare Group will add online versions of popular television shows like "Family Feud," "To Tell the Truth," and
"Match Game" to its existing portfolio of premium content and games. Vendare will also add Flipside's database of over 24 million consumers, allowing the extension of its database and direct marketing
capabilities. Upon closing, the Vendare Group sold certain assets related to the iWin business unit to Next Game, a skill-based pay-for-play game provider.
