Trib Enlarges TV Plans, Worries About CW

TV Week notes that The Tribune Co., which owns 23 TV stations, is enlarging its programming, giving the Sam Zell-owned company flexibility to either launch a new national broadcast network or restart the slate of its rebranded WGN America channel. The plans are the result, in part, of concern over the company's 15 CW affiliates, since the net has dropped in ratings.
