The Online Video category accounted for 1.14% of all U.S. Internet visits in May 2008, a decline of 9% compared to May 2007. Despite the decrease in U.S. visits, the amount of time spent on the Web sites increased 6% for the week ending May 31.
In May 2008, YouTube received 82% of its visits from returning visitors. Among the top five online video Web sites by market share, MySpaceTV and Google Video followed with 64% and 54%, respectively, of traffic returning from within the previous 30 days.
