Avis Rent A Car is offering free digital books and songs to customers who rent for five or more days. The company is offering the digital eMusic audiobooks and tunes via download at Avis.com/emusic.

As part of the offer, the Parsippany, N.J.-based rental company will also distribute free "Avis Music Cables" to renters at airports. The cables let customers listen to their MP3 players through a vehicle's sound system.

To get the perks, customers have to enroll online at the Web site or through the Avis reservation center phone number. --Karl Greenberg
