XM, Sirius Pay Nearly $20 Million In Fines

XM and Sirius Radio are paying $19.7 million to settle rules violations. Payment is seen as a prelude to a quick approval of the merger. The FCC has reached an agreement with the parties, reports the AP, in which XM will pay $17.5 million and Sirius will pay $2.2 million to settle agency rules violations, which involve complaints about interfering with land-based radio stations.
