P&G: 'We Have Significant Room To Grow'

In a rousing speech delivered to the company's shareholders, Procter & Gamble president-CEO A.G. Lafley declared that as big as the nation's largest advertiser is, "we have significant room to grow in every key part of P&G's business." Noting that P&G's portfolio of "billion dollar brands" has grown to 16 from 10, Lafley identified a group of another 10 brands with sales in excess of $500 million that are growing an average 11 percent and have the "potential" to become billion dollar brands in the next few years. Lafley singled out "Health Care" and "Beauty Care" as "disproportionate drivers of P&G growth" going forward and said the company has become acutely focused on working with retailers to drive sales.
