Gray TV: Ad Revs Down, Online Ads Up

Gray Television reported a net revenue decrease of 1% for the second quarter. Political ads were up, national advertising decreased 7% and local advertising 5%. The bright spot--Internet advertising--increased 34%. Another area of concern: reverse compensation. During an earnings call, Gray President/COO Robert Prather said the company will resist NBC's push to have affiliates pay to run the Peacock's programming.
