Media General reports that July 2008 revenues were $68.3 million, compared with $79.2 million in July 2007. The 13.8% decline was primarily attributable to lower Publishing Division revenues, driven
by reduced classified ads. In the Broadcast Division, increased political ad revenues partially offset lower national time sales. Broadcast gross time sales decreased $1.9 million, or 6.6%. In the
Interactive Media Division, revenues rose 5.7%, due to higher local advertising and revenues from DealTaker.com.
