Nintendo Takes Mario Out To Ball Game

  • September 4, 2008
The action at Seattle's Safeco Field will be wilder than ever on Friday when video game icon Mario takes over the diamond. While the hometown Mariners square off against the New York Yankees, Nintendo's famous plumber will offer fans an opportunity to enjoy his latest game for the Wii console, "Mario Super Sluggers."

Nintendo will place interactive Wii game kiosks throughout the ballpark, inviting attendees to swing the wireless Wii Remote controller like a bat or make a pitching motion to throw a pitch. Nine lucky fans--one randomly selected during each inning--will win a prize package that includes a Wii system and a copy of the new game.--Nina M. Lentini
