'Dexter' Kills 'Survivor'

Fans become emotionally bonded to their favorite shows or sports teams. New data from Marketing Evaluations, Inc., The Q Scores Company, says cable shows have reached the same level of fan intensity as broadcast. Showtime's "Dexter" tops the current study. The Q Scores measure IQ Index, or viewer loyalty, based on likability and viewing frequency, and the Emotional Bonding Index, which indicates a commitment to watch a show. In the latest cable findings, "Dexter" and "Weeds" have surpassed ESPN's "Monday Night Football." Plus, "Dexter" registers the same emotional connection as CBS' "Survivor."
