Marques McCammon Joins Aptera As CMO

  • November 6, 2008
Aptera, the Vista, Calif.-based maker of Jetson-esque three-wheel electric cars, has hired Marques McCammon, former Saleen executive, as CMO. He replaces branding consultant Tony Kirton, who will continue as a consultant supporting McCammon's marketing team.

The firm says McCammon helped create the Dodge SRT-4 performance compact and the SRT sub-brand.

Aptera recently opened its second facility in the north San Diego suburbs, where the company will ultimately roll out its first production vehicle, the all-electric Aptera 2e. The company says the two-seat 2e, slated for full production in 2009, gets up to 300 miles per gallon.

During the first week in his new position, McCammon, along with Aptera President and CEO Paul Wilbur, selected PCGCampbell as the company's new public relations and communications agency.--Karl Greenberg
