Burson-Marsteller has been named Sony Ericsson's public relations agency of record for North America. It will also handle promotion of all the mobile handset provider's major product launches,
sponsorships and brand initiatives, like CES and the Sony Ericsson Open. To date, B-M has served as Sony Ericsson's global agency of record for the past year out of London; the move to the U.S. is to
achieve greater global marketing efficiencies.
