ABC Reshuffles Midseason With 'Cupid,' 'Castle'

ABC's CupidABC will launch a new batch of dramas as part of its midseason schedule reshuffling.

"Castle" is about a novelist who learns that a real copycat killer is using his stories to stage murders. "Castle" will begin Monday, March 9 at 10 p.m. Two weeks later, ABC will add in "Cupid" on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. The show is a romantic comedy/drama where Cupid is sent to Earth to bring 100 couples together before he is allowed to return to Mount Olympus.

In April, "The Unusuals" starts on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. The show is about a NYPD vice detective who realizes that all her colleagues share a distinct sense of humor--and their own dirty little secrets.

Before "Cupid" kicks off, "Primetime: What Would You Do?" will return January 9 in the Tuesday 10 p.m. time slot.

These efforts will fill the programming holes made when ABC canceled a number of its 10 p.m. dramas. "Cupid" replaces "Eli Stone." "Dirty Sexy Money" had the Wednesday 10 p.m. time slot, but in January, it will be filled by "Life on Mars." After the "Mars" run, "The Unusuals" will take the same position.

The network previously stated that this season would be the last for Thursday drama "Boston Legal."

    Wayne,
Boston Legal is a MONDAY Drama not Thursday which, starting next week is Private Practice at 10. The 2 Hour Series Finale of Boston Legal is Monday 12/8 at 9. I know this because we deploy all of ABC's off channel paid media and I actually read the schedules and screen the episodes. You might do the same before writing as fact.
