Paxson Signs the Remaining Four

Paxson Communications Corporation announced today that it has entered into Joint Sales Agreements with the four remaining NBC owned and operated television stations including New York (WNBC Channel 4), Los Angeles (KNBC Channel 4), Chicago (WMAQ Channel 5), and Philadelphia (WCAU Channel 10), beginning in July.

Under the agreements, NBC will provide the sales and sales marketing infrastructure for the local PAX TV stations in the top four U.S. markets. Additionally, the NBC affiliated television station in Milwaukee, WTMJ, owned by Journal Broadcast Group, Inc., will commence sales of commercial time under a Joint Sales Agreement with Paxson's owned and operated station, WPXE TV which will broadcast WTMJ's 6:00 PM and 10:00 PM newscasts at 6:30 PM and 10:30 PM on WPXE.

With the addition of these stations NBC's Owned and Operated and Affiliated stations agreements with PAX now total 18. These new JSA rollouts join NBC's other Owned and Operated Stations in, Dallas, Washington, D.C., Miami, Hartford, Raleigh-Fayetteville, Birmingham, Providence, and LA and NBC affiliates and other network affiliate alliances in San Francisco Fresno, Knoxville, Shreveport, LA, Cedar Rapids and Greenville, NC.
