Viacom is turning to a second charismatic, yet curious Dallas Cowboy for a reality series. A week after the Spike network said it would air a show with Michael Irvin as the front man, sister channel VH1 announced that current star Terrell Owens would have his own show.

Under the reality TV umbrella, the two series fit in different buckets. Irvin, who is retired but was a flamboyant personality during his playing days, will host a reality-competition show where contestants compete for a shot at making the current Cowboys. The Owens series fits within VH1's celeb-reality mix, as it will follow the voluble Owens, or "T.O.," in his off-season life with two publicists. "Viewers will discover that behind all the braggadocio, emotional histrionics and sculpted physique that is the outspoken media magnet known to the world as T.O., there is also a quiet, sensitive, mild-mannered guy from Alexander City, Alabama ... that's Terrell," VH1 said.

The show will debut this summer. Irvin's show will air this spring. Both are untitled.

A former teammate of Irvin's, Deion Sanders, has had his own show on the Oxygen network.
