Jonathan Wald Leaves CNBC

Jonathan Wald, CNBC's top news executive, is leaving the network, though no reasons were given for his departure. Named CNBC's senior vice president of business news in June 2006, Wald was known to promote and protect his celebrity anchors. Previously, he had been executive producer of NBC's "Today" and the "NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw." CNBC is a division of General Electric.
