  • Spin magazine has named SUSAN SCHWARTZMAN Fashion and Grooming Advertising Director. Prior to Spin, Schwartzman was National Sales Manager at Your Stepfamily magazine, published by the Stepfamily Association of America. A veteran of some of the industry's most notable fashion and lifestyle publications, Schwartzman previously held the title of Fashion Director at Primedia's Seventeen, and Condé Nast's Glamour magazine. Schwartzman began her advertising sales career at Vogue a Condé Nast title, eventually serving as fashion manager.

  • Arbitron Inc. has promoted LINDA DUPREE to the new position of Senior Vice President, Portable People Meter. Dupree has been in sales and management positions with Arbitron since 1990. Most recently, she held the position of Senior Vice President, Advertiser/ Agency Services. Prior to Arbitron, Dupree held various media positions including planning supervision at Grey Advertising and field marketing management at the Stroh Brewery Company.

  • CANDY OREM has been named Sales Manager with Millennium Sales and Marketing in Dallas. Most recently, Orem was Senior Account Executive for the American team in Dallas. For over twenty years she has been a vital part of the Katz Television Group, serving in sales and management capacities.

  • IFC, the entertainment company devoted exclusively to the world of independent film, announced that MATTHEW FRANKEL has been named Vice President for Communcations. Frankel will lead the public relations and communications strategy for all IFC divisions: IFC Television, IFC on Demand and IFC Entertainment, which includes IFC Productions and IFC Films. Frankel joins IFC from its parent company, Rainbow Media Holdings, Inc, where he was Director of Media Relations since October 2001.

  • Business 2.0 magazine, announced today that AMY WEBER DICE has been named Associate Publisher/Marketing. Dice most recently served as the East Coast Advertising Director for the magazine. In her new role, she will be responsible for all marketing efforts for the magazine and its website. Dice joined the magazine in 1999 as the New York Ad Manager. She started her career with Time Inc. in 1994 as an account manager for TIME Magazine in Chicago, followed by a stint as an account manager at Sports Illustrated.

  • GEORGE H. BARTMAN has been named Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for DJG Marketing’s Waiting Room Subscription Services. Bartman joins WRSS from the Audit Bureau of Circulations, where he served as Vice President of Sales in their eastern region for six years. Prior to working at ABC, he was employed as Project Manager for News Corporation, where he managed the launch of a national magazine subscription agency.

  • Barnhart/CMI Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations announced the addition of KEN HUNTER as Director of Public Relations. Prior to working in public relations, Hunter held editorial positions with publications covering commercial real estate, junk bond investing and skiing. During his career, he has served in a public relations capacity with R&J Integrated Marketing Communications in New Jersey, Freeman Public Relations Group, Metzger Associates Public Relations and, most recently, Vanguard Communications, where he held the position of Vice President of Public Relations.
