  • SHARON WATTS has been named director of advertising atBeE Womanmagazine. She will oversee all aspects of the magazine’s advertising sales. Prior to joining BeE Woman, Watts was national fashion manager and Dallas sales manager at PaperCity magazine.


  • LAUREL ROSSI has been promoted to managing director of Hill Holliday’s New York office. Rossi will oversee the business and the office’s key accounts including Verizon Wireless, Smith Barney, AOL and Pitney-Bowes.


  • STEPHEN BERNER has joined Carat Fusion as vice president, director of business development, east coast. In addition, ANDREW KENNEDY has been promoted to vice president, director of business development, west coast. Kennedy most recently served as vice president, account director at Carat Fusion’s Los Angeles office.


  • ALLEN ROSENSHINE, chairman of BBDO Worldwide, will retire at the end of December, ending a 44-year career. Rosenshine will become chairman emeritus of BBDO. Rosenshine joined BBDO in 1965 after three years at a small business-to-business agency and came up through the ranks to become creative director of BBDO New York in 1975. He became Chief Executive Officer of BBDO Worldwide in 1985.


  • VICKI KING has joined Time Inc. Business and Finance Network as vice president, custom projects. King will oversee the group’s efforts in multi- and single-sponsored sections and advertorials, classified and recruitment advertising, editorial and advertorial reprints, and merchandise premiums. King joins the TIBFN from Forbes where she was the financial category director.


  • PETER A. COMPETELLO has joined dentsuAmerica as senior vice president, account director on the agency's Canon Imaging Systems Group business. Most recently, Competello was vice president, group account director at ML Rogers, where he was the lead on the Scotts Miracle-Gro account.


  • Optima has hired JEFF SYMON as vice president of sales and marketing and JENNIFER CUMISKEY as finance director.


  • ValueClick Media has promoted MATT SHERMAN to director, publisher development, up from manager of media. In addition, MATT KAYE was promoted to supervisor, publisher development from media development representative.


  • MALCOLM RUSSELL, director of communications strategy for MindShare North America, was named head of a newly expanded, distinct unit within the agency dubbed the Communications Planning Group.


  • JODI VEVODA has been named vice president of corporate sales and marketing for Time Inc.’s Midwest territory. She joins Time Inc. from Gannett’s USA Today where she was vice president of advertising sales for the Midwest and western regions.


  • JEFF GEISLER joined McCann Erickson New York as senior VP, co-general manager of TAG Ideation, which specializes in the young adult market, from BBH where most recently he was group account director on Unilever's Axe.


  • JOE KOLLER joins Deep Focus as senior media planner. He was formerly interactive media strategist at OMD where he worked on various accounts, supervising assistants, planning, buying, and research.


  • CATHARINE M. ANDERSON and RYAN RICCI have joined Burst Media as account executives in the New York office. Anderson joins Burst from SCORE! Learning Corp. where she most recently served as region manager. Ricci joins from Christal Radio where he was an account executive.


  • SHELAGH DALY MILLER has been appointed associate publisher, advertising for AARP Publications, including AARP The Magazine, AARP Bulletin and AARP Segunda Juventud. Miller was promoted from advertising director for AARP Publications, a position she assumed in 2002.


  • Real Branding has named BOB JOHNSON as general manager. He joined Real Branding as VP of client management in 2004. Prior to Real Branding, Johnson co-founded Ketchum Interactive.


  • The Media Kitchen has hired KATIE MCLOUGHLIN as an associate media strategist; TANIA MARTINO as a senior media strategist; GLORIA CHAN as a media strategist and ALANA FRANKFORT as an associate media strategist.


  • T3 (The Think Tank) has opened a San Francisco office and charged account director ELLIE SANCHEZ with opening the shop.


  • JOANNE FREED has been named vice president, consumer public relations for fuse. Prior to fuse, Freed served as vice president/group manager, brand practice at Ketchum where she was the senior agency account contact servicing the Pokémon USA, Inc., Stayfree Girls in the Director’s Chair, Alka-Seltzer and Merial accounts.


  • EyeWonder has named PHILIP GREEN as its director of northwest sales. He most recently served as a director of sales for Unicast and Viewpoint Corporation.


  • AMC has named MICHELE SOLOMON as vice president, ad sales marketing. Prior to joining Rainbow Media, Solomon was the director of marketing solutions for Discovery Networks.


  • JAMES MOORE joins HowStuffWorks as sales director of the San Francisco office where he will manage all tier-one interactive advertising relationships in the Northwest region. Moore joins the company from CMP Media where he was account manager with the Electronics Group.


  • MISTY GIBBS has joined Revenue Science as vice president of sales for the Revenue Science Network. Gibbs will be responsible for overseeing all sales and account management functions related to advertisers participating in the network.


  • KEITH ROSE has joined BBDO Atlanta as SVP, director of broadcast services. Rose comes joins the agency from Crispin Porter + Bogusky Miami where he was senior integrated producer. In his new position, Rose will lead the broadcast production department as well as work to expand its capabilities.


  • Ethnic Print Media Group has named VERONICA ARREOLA as vice president of media management. Prior to joining EPMG, Arreola served as senior manager of multicultural rates and data at Alloy Marketing & Media Inc./American Multicultural Marketing.


  • MARY CARPENTER and MIKE ROSEN will take on the new joint leadership titles of president, strategy and operations and president, investment and activation respectively at GM Planworks. In her new role, Carpenter will oversee all planning activity across GM divisions. Rosen will assume oversight responsibility for investment approaches in all media types.


  • Nurun has named TED ROOKE as director of search engine marketing. Most recently, Rooke was vice president, associate director, marketing and strategy, for Modem Media.


  • Cronin and Company has promoted LEIGH FITZGERALD to senior account executive and TRACY DEMARS to administrative assistant and media coordinator.


  • LEE PETTIT has been named director of affiliate sales at The Weather Channel. Previously, Pettit was account vice president and area general manager in the Atlanta office of Showtime Networks.


  • BOB PANKUCK has joined dentsuAmerica as executive vice president and client services director, a position created when DOUG FIDOTEN assumed the role of president earlier this year. Pankuck most recently served as senior vice president at Grey Worldwide, where he ran the 3M account.
