Mercurial Behavior, Competition & Visibility: Navigating Today’s Complex Customer Journey

The world continues to move into its “new normal.” The ad industry as a whole pretty much agrees it will never go back to the way it was pre-COVID, but is this roller coaster ride finally over? Unfortunately not. Tracking and targeting continues to be a challenge with the changing availability of data. Consumer shopping habits are more complex than ever. Instead of simply searching keywords, shoppers are asking questions and using multiple channels to gather product information before ever even hitting the buy button. The traditional path to purchase is fragmented, and it often begins, and likely ends, on Amazon and other marketplaces. So how do brands compete?

At the annual December edition of MediaPost's Search and Performance Summit marketers and agencies will discuss how they’re solving the key challenges facing data driven performance media: lack of visibility of who and where they’re targeting, driving consumers to their website instead of competing marketplaces, and navigating multiple channels and increasing customer expectations.

We will explore:

  • Strategic planning across social, search, programmatic and OTT

  • Leveraging AI techniques for targeting data sets

  • Diversifying search beyond Google and Bing

  • Creative content and evolving the Tech Stack for a more personalized website search experience

  • Marketplaces: friend or foe? Exploring potential partnerships

For 15 years, the MediaPost Search and Performance Summit has kept data driven marketers ahead of the next industry curves. This December edition puts you in the center of change in the data driven ad economy.
