A study by creative platform CreativeX of how women are portrayed in advertising shows mixed results. In 2022, ads featured 34% more women than men compared with the year before, the research found.

However, the presence of women in domestic or family settings in ads increased to 66% in 2022, compared to just 32% in 2021. Conversely, the percentage of women that were portrayed in professional settings dipped from 16% in 2021 to only 7% last year.
