Product Placement Rates Higher Than Ads For Half Of Consumers

Benlabs' survey discovers that about half (52%) of consumers prefer watching a TV program with product placement over advertising. It also found that product placement generates better recall, is more likely to result in consumers researching products and generates better connection with products compared to advertising.

The positive emotional connection with favorite programming transfers to brands that appear in it for a significant portion of consumers. About two-thirds (63%) of those surveyed said they feel positive emotions after seeing products or brands in TV content, while 47% said they enjoy seeing their favorite brands in shows, according to Benlabs.
